Getting started

Getting a quote

Do I need to be home for a quote?

Usually not. Mowing and lawn care quotes can often be prepared from satellite imagery. For maintenance services like yard cleanups, mulching and trimming, we'll swing by the property, and you don't need to be home. For more complex projects, we schedule a walk-through with you to make sure we understand exactly what you need.

Service days

Scheduling and visits

Do I need to be home for service?

No, you don't need to be home. Just make sure dogs are inside on your service day, and give us your gate code when you sign up.

How will I know when you are coming?

Once your card is on file, we place your service on the schedule and notify you 24 hours before we arrive. We let you know when the work is done, too.

Mowing

The mowing season and rain days

When does the mowing season run?

We mow from late March to mid-November. After that, we transition to fall leaf cleanup, which is a separate service you sign up for.

What happens if it rains on my mowing day?

If rain washes out your mowing day, you'll typically be mowed the following week. Weather can affect the whole schedule, and if we miss your service because of it, we make it up as soon as we can.

Do you offer biweekly mowing?

No. Mowing every other week isn't in our clients' best interest. The grass grows too long between cuts, which stresses the lawn, and one rain delay can stretch the gap to three weeks. It also creates scheduling problems that would make our service less reliable for everyone. Weekly mowing keeps the lawn healthier and the schedule dependable.

Billing

Payment and billing

How do I pay?

All services are pay as you go, and we keep a credit card on file through a secure, PCI-compliant payment system. After you approve your estimate, you will receive a credit card authorization form. For your protection, only the last four digits of your card are visible to us.

When am I charged?

Your card is charged automatically within 24 hours of each completed service.

Is there a contract?

Residential clients don't sign long-term contracts. Plans are priced monthly as a guide, and every service is billed when the work is done. Contracts are typically set up only for commercial clients, or by special request for larger properties on full-service agreements.

Changes

Pausing, skipping and canceling

How do I pause or cancel service?

Call us at (703) 533-5296. Cancellations must be made by phone, with at least 24 hours' notice before your scheduled service.

Can I skip a visit?

We reserve space on the schedule for you when you book, so skipped services may be charged in full. If you need to make a change, call us as early as you can.

What if I restart service after canceling?

Restarting after a cancellation may require a new estimate or a start-up fee.

Peace of mind

Insurance, guarantees and getting help
