About the Owner

David Obeid began mowing lawns when he was just 12 years old. In fact, it all started in his own backyard. His father brought home a 20-year-old, non-running, commercial walk-behind mower. Together, they rebuilt the mower, called “Old Red,” and got it up and running. From there, David used the mower on his family’s lawn to recreate the look of a professionally maintained property. Shortly after, neighbors from up and down the street approached him. They asked him to care for their lawns as well – officially setting off a chain of events that would lead to the creation of Potomac Lawn Professionals.

In the early years, David recognized that people wanted and needed an extremely reliable and trustworthy landscape company. He noticed that many of his clients had previous bad experiences with over-promising and no-show contractors and landscapers. With that in mind, David committed to providing a more professional and reliable landscape service at a fair price.

Today, Potomac Lawn Professionals provides mowing, landscape design, landscape maintenance, and more. With many large commercial clients, the company’s vehicles and teams can be seen beautifying properties in Falls Church, Arlington, McLean, and Vienna, while sporting the Potomac Lawn Professionals Logo. David proudly states that they still maintain dozens of his original clients, and that he still approaches each job with the same pride and dedication as he did when he was 12-years old.
